IBDEA Expert Talks Webinar Policy
IBDEA Expert Talks Overview
IBDEA Expert Talks are designed to provide members with valuable, relevant content that advances knowledge across the beverage dispensing and foodservice industry.
Presentations may be made by members (regardless of member type) and non-members based upon pricing included within this policy. Presentations can be educational, informational, or sales-oriented when clearly disclosed and approved in advance. All content should promote best practices, encourage innovation, support professional development, and provide attendees with practical insights that can be applied within their own organizations.
Presentation Policy Guidelines
All presentations submitted for IBDEA review must adhere to established association guidelines to ensure consistency, professionalism, and alignment with organizational standards. Presentations may include sales-oriented content when clearly identified and approved in advance; however, all content must remain professional, accurate, and relevant to the beverage dispensing and foodservice industry. Presentations should provide value to attendees through product knowledge, service information, industry insights, best practices, or practical solutions.
- Presenters may not include negative references, comparisons, or disparaging remarks regarding competitors, member organizations, or industry participants. All materials must maintain a professional tone and reflect the collaborative spirit of the association. Content that could be interpreted as competitive disparagement or inappropriate promotion may be subject to revision or rejection by the IBDEA Expert Talks Webinar Vetting Committee.
- Non-compete and neutrality: Presentations must remain educational and industry-focused and may not be used to discourage members from working with competitors, vendors, customers, or other industry participants.
- Antitrust compliance: Presenters must avoid any discussion that could raise antitrust concerns, including pricing practices, market allocation, customer restrictions, competitive strategy, or other commercially sensitive topics.
- Pricing and commercial terms: Presenters may not discuss specific pricing, rate sheets, quotes, discounts, or other commercial terms during the presentation or live discussion.
- Ownership of materials: Presentation content remains the responsibility of the presenter or presenting organization. IBDEA may retain copies of approved materials for internal records and member reference and knowledge base.
- Recording acknowledgment: By accepting the opportunity to participate, presenters acknowledge that IBDEA meetings and presentations may be recorded and used for association records, member reference, or future educational purposes, as determined by IBDEA.
All presentation materials are subject to review and approval by the IBDEA Expert Talks Webinar Vetting Committee and IBDEA Executive Director prior to final acceptance. The committee reserves the right to request revisions, edits, or additional clarification to ensure compliance with these guidelines. Approval may be denied or revoked if submitted materials do not meet IBDEA standards. Presenters are expected to cooperate fully with the review process and make any requested changes in a timely manner.
These guidelines are established to ensure that all presentations contribute positively to the membership, uphold the integrity of the association, and deliver meaningful, actionable insights that align with IBDEA’s mission and values.
Governance and Enforcement
Compliance with these standards is required for all participants submitting presentations for IBDEA-sponsored events or programs. The association reserves the authority to enforce these policies, including the rejection of non-compliant submissions or removal of approved presentations that fail to adhere to the established requirements.
